Closing date for working test entries is 7 days prior to the date of the test. Entries made after the closing date will not be accepted. Fees will only be refunded if the Working Test Secretary is notified of a non-runner more than 7 days before the test date.

Please note that the A&D has imposed a maximum of 50 entries per test and only one dog per handler will be entered in the draw if entries exceed this number (unless there is a a shortage of entries for that test). Novice Dog Novice Handler—only one dog per handler will be accepted regardless of the number of entries. Number of entries will also be subject to Government and KC guidelines operating at the time of the test.

Definitions
Novice: Confined to dogs which have not gained an award or Certificate of Merit at a Field Trial or 1st, 2nd or 3rd in an Open Working Test or gained 1st in a Novice Working Test held in accordance with Kennel Club Regulations or 1st in an Intermediate Working Test.
Puppy: Any dog no older than 18 months on the day of the test.
Intermediate: Any dog that has not gained a Field Trial Award including a Certificate of Merit or 1st, 2nd or 3rd in an Open Working Test or 1st in an Intermediate Working Test.
Novice Dog, Novice Handler: Neither dog nor handler to have won any award at a Field Trial including a Certificate of Merit or 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in an Open Working Test or 1st in any test run under KC rules.
Open: Open to all dogs of a specified breed or breeds although preference will be given to dogs which have gained an award or a Certificate of Merit at a Field Trial, been placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in an Open Working Test or 1st in any test.
Veteran: A dog which has reached its 8th birthday by the date of the test.
Pairs: One handler working one Retriever (any variety) and one handler working one Spaniel (any variety).
Brace: One handler working two gundogs of any variety (not necessarily the same breed), at the same time.
